I started work in the employee benefits sector back In February 1988 (of course, I was only 5 years old at the time!) and I’ve seen all sides of the industry.
Having worked for a health cash plan for 17 years, I was invited to become a specialist broker with a company who had previously been a client of mine. I then played an integral part in growing their Private Medical Insurance book from around £250k to circa £2.5 million API. Unfortunately, that business was acquired by a MUCH larger organisation, and I felt the personal touch was most definitely lost. This led me to change direction slightly and I began working for insurers in the industry, which gave me a wider perspective of how they operate.
I was delighted to return to broking in 2020 as it’s DEFINITELY where my heart lies. Getting to know my customers and their requirements is what I thrive upon, and I look forward to hopefully getting to know you too. I’m a member of the Federation of Small Businesses as well as my local Chamber of Trade, and I love dealing with people from a wide range of industries.
Service is paramount to me and I’m eager to form long term relationships with my clients. When I moved back to broking, I was grateful to find that many of my previous customers were happy to join me and once again entrust me with the care of their policies.
I really enjoy a challenge so if a business is experiencing high increases to their premiums, I love being able to help, and being part of Moore Health & Protection makes that even more possible due to the wide range of products we can access. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and several pet dogs. I’m also a part-time canine psychologist with a small local business called Doggy Dilemmas (www.doggygilemmashull.co.uk) and I’m proud to have published a book about my pooch related experiences.
